As my littlest baby turned two years old today, I was stereotypically overcome with that nostalgia so common on days of importance in our lives.  Every day I think of how short life is, but on days like today the feeling is multiplied.  He's only two so birthdays don't mean much and he didn't understand why he was receiving gifts randomly. Over all, the day was a good one.  This was in HUGE contrast to the previous night. On the eve of his two year birthday, he discovered how to climb out of his crib at bed time... Aaaaaaahhhhh! This is just more frustration than I could handle and it was an hour long fight to get this kid to bed. I was hysterical... as in, my mother had to come over to calm me down hysterical. Thank GOD for good mothers! My help hot-line IS my poor mother. : ) I encourage all of you, whether you're a mother or not, (but ESPECIALLY if you are) to establish your own hot-line. Someone, or a group of someones who will just listen to you in your moment of crisis.  Even if they can't offer you great, intelligent advice, getting it off your chest is just so amazingly therapeutic.

Blogging... It's an intimidating thing to me. I grew up keeping a journal that was top secret, so the idea of writing things on-line for the world to access is pretty foreign to me. I'm a mother of two very wonderful, very rambunctious children, so I won't regularly add to my blog, (unless of course I get blog fever.)  This blog will be a randomized jumble of my feelings, successes, failures, dreams, and even some little life tips that I think others would profit from by reading. It will be honest- brutally so at times, and rarely politically correct. Much like myself. "Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks." So there will be a lot written on my relationships with friends, family, and sometimes strangers. The purpose of this blog isn't to give the reader constant motivation or self-help, but I certainly aspire to provoke thought.
